WinSPC can export data to a comma separated variable file (CSV). Excel has the capability to read a CSV file. Export gives you the option to export either part specifications or part data. This can be useful if you would like to duplicate a part to use at another facility, duplicate a part to run tests without changing the production part/data, output to a file to verify data, and many more.
Method 1
- In the Administrator window of WinSPC, select File -> Export….

- In the File Name text box, Browse to the directory where you would like to save the file, and type in a file name to save as.
- In the Export box select what to export Specifications or Data.
- If Data is selected then you will need to select the Date Time Format needed.
- Under the Select Part box, drill down and select the part to export.
- Click OK.
Method 2
- In the Administrator window of WinSPC, expand the Parts/Processes list and right-click on a Part or Variable.
- Select Save As…
- Browse to the directory where you would like to save file, and type in a file name (if other than the default name).
Note: This file format in Method 2 cannot be used with the File --> Import… selection.
