The information below represents a list of recommended operating systems and database servers for WinSPC 9.0. Other versions of WinSPC may have different recommended platforms and you will want to refer to your "Installation and Configuration Guide" for the recommended platforms for your specific version.
The absence of an operating system or database server from the list below means that operating system or database server was not tested in DataNet's quality assurance lab. It does not mean that the operating system or database server is known to be incompatible with WinSPC. DataNet will do its best to support installations using configurations other than those listed below.
For any operating system or database server, we recommend using the latest service packs and patches from the appropriate vendor.
If you have any questions regarding support for a specific operating system or database server, please contact our Technical Support.
WinSPC Database Server WinSPC requires a back-end database to store configuration information and production data collected by WinSPC.

- Windows 2012 Server (including R2)
- Windows 2008 Server (including R2) (32-bit or 64-bit)

Note: Please refer to the database server vendor's documentation for hardware and operating system requirements for that specific database server (a specific database server may not be compatible with all server operating systems above).
WinSPC Application Server The WinSPC Application Server is an optional component to the WinSPC system and normally resides on a separate machine. This server is responsible for performing some server-side operations in the WinSPC system. Click here to learn more about the WinSPC Application Server.
